NOR Flash for Automotive

The auto industry is rich in innovation as the car morphs into the most advanced consumer electronics device. The industry is growing from $21 billion in 2010 to $34 billion in 2012. 80 to 100 microcontrollers drive today's advanced features and each requires memory to function. Spansion’s NOR family of products for automotive are TS-grade, qualified to the AEC-Q100 standard and available in in-cabin, -40° to +105° C, temperature ranges with some powertrain products featuring -40° to +145° C.

 

Instrument Clusters

Important driver information is being provided on digital displays alongside the gauges and dials of your speedometer and gas tank, bringing new levels of safety to drivers. These 2D and 3D graphics require fast processing and NOR Flash memory to boot nearly instantly and provide real-time feedback.

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

Infotainment

Powertrain

Spansion Flash memory solutions can withstand extreme temperatures and vehicle vibration while delivering reliability and performance over the life of the vehicle. For engine and transmission control, Spansion floating-gate solutions operate from -40° to +145° C for KGD configurations. Spansion burst-mode solutions ensure rapid code execution for faster vehicle response times.
