Lead-Free Product Identification
Spansion® OPNs use the 13th digit of the OPN to differentiate between standard (SnPb) and lead-free material sets. Standard material sets are coded with an A. Lead-free material sets are coded with "C", "D", "F", "J" or "H".

Fujitsu Semiconductor Ltd Legacy Products have an "E1" at the end of the OPN to designate lead-free.* Example:

Identifying Lead-free Packages
Package Markings:
- Lead-free process compliant packages maintain their original markings and Ordering Part Numbers (OPNs), and are identifiable by their date code.
- Lead-free packages will have new OPNs. Customers can use the new OPN when ordering lead-free products.
External Packing:
- Lead-free process compliant packages: The dry-pack caution label on the box will state the maximum reflow temperature to which the product is qualified
- Lead-free packages: The label will include the Pb-free part numbers. In compliance with the JESD97 specification, the following lead-free symbol will be marked on second level packaging (inner cartons, dry pack bags, and more):
