Spansion Flash File System (FFS)
Spansion FFS is a full-featured data storage software suite that is optimized for Spansion parallel and serial NOR flash. The modular architecture enables the Spansion FFS components to be easily adapted to your system, enabling you to accelerate your design cycle. The software is free for Spansion customers, has an easy click-thru license agreement, and provides the following logic blocks:
- Spansion BD – Providing the logical disk abstraction, the Block Driver (BD) is the heart of Spansion FFS
- Spansion FS – A FAT file system for logical and physical block devices, the File System (FS) can provide the logical file abstraction that your system needs
- OS Bindings – Providing an interface between Spansion BD and your operating system – either Linux or WinCE – the Operating System (OS) Bindings make it easy to integrate Spansion BD into your system

Spansion Low Level Driver (LLD)
The Spansion LLD is a family of flash device drivers that implement basic flash commands and flash status operations in simple C-Language routines. Spansion LLD software is available free of charge and comes with a no-hassle click-thru license and full documentation.

Linux Memory Technology Device (MTD) Support
Our Linux MTD support provides optimized support for Spansion parallel NOR devices, and directions for configuring Linux for serial NOR devices. Released under the GNU Public License (GPL v2), the Linux MTD patch is fully compatible with your Open Source project.
