Product Energy Efficiency
At Spansion, our Flash memory technology enables system designers to create efficient, highly innovative, high performance, solutions. A recent Spansion innovation, MirrorBit Eclipse™ technology, provides for much faster programming speeds versus prior generation products and competitive Flash memory technologies. This speed increase enables manufacturers to program devices in the manufacturing line at much higher speeds, saving energy and increasing manufacturing efficiencies.
Our Flash memory can be reprogrammed and upgraded with new software and features, allowing manufacturers to re-use existing chips rather than redesigning entirely new products, saving landfill space and reducing the energy and materials required for manufacturing.
We also offer both low-voltage and super-low-voltage Flash memory devices that allow manufacturers to choose the appropriate power and amount of storage space for products such as cell phones, portable electronics, automotive electronics, network infrastructure, set-top boxes, IT equipment, PCs, and peripherals. In automobiles, for example, our Flash memory devices allow electronic control of engine and transmission operations, enabling higher fuel efficiencies and increased emissions control.
