Carroll Jacoby
Corporate Vice President, Human Resources

Carroll Jacoby is Spansion’s corporate vice president of human resources. She brings 23 years in high-tech and 11 years executive industry experience to Spansion®. As corporate vice president of human resources, Jacoby is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources for Spansion, Inc. including planning, development, implementation and administration of strategic human resource initiatives and programs.

Prior to Spansion, Jacoby was director of human resources for the administrative and memory groups, as well as worldwide sales, at AMD. Having proven her ability to structure organizations for success, she was called upon to play a central role in the formation of Spansion in 2003. Working hand-in-hand with top executives at both AMD and Fujitsu, she helped determine which employees would transition to the new company, and which positions would require top industry recruits.

Jacoby’s human resources career began with a market analysis project for AMD over 20 years ago. That project became the springboard for her rapid ascent within AMD and at Spansion®. AMD hired Jacoby in 1984, and charged her with creating a longitudinal analysis of market salaries. The results of the project were so successful that her methodology remains the standard approach for salary market analysis at both AMD and Spansion.

Jacoby holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Long Island University in New York, and a master’s degree in Statistics and Measurement from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
