Gary Wang
Corporate Vice President and President of Asia

Gary Wang is corporate vice president and president of Spansion Asia, responsible for overall business operations in the region, and serving as a liaison with strategic customers, government officials, and alliance partners to ensure Spansion's business strategies are aligned to meet the requirements in Asia. Prior to his current role, he served as corporate vice president of Asia Pacific Sales and Marketing. Wang brings more than a decade of wireless and electronics semiconductor expertise working with the top OEMs and chipset suppliers in Greater China to the position.

Wang began his Spansion career in 2003, after transferring from AMD, where under his leadership, sales doubled within the year, allowing the company to become the number one Flash memory supplier for top OEMs in China. Following this success, Wang was appointed vice president of Spansion Asia in 2004 and later to corporate vice president of Asia Pacific Sales and Marketing. Prior to his tenure at Spansion, Wang served as director of marketing at AMD and was responsible for the Flash memory business in Asia.

In addition, Wang served as senior director of product marketing at Qualcomm, where he was responsible for the company's CDMA product portfolio in China. Wang has also served as managing director of the CDMA/TDMA business at Gemplus, and has held key positions at Motorola Semiconductor in the U.S. and Asia.

Wang holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree in Business Administration from California Pacific University.
