Environmental, Health & Safety

At Spansion, we are committed to providing a safe workplace for our employees and our community. We fulfill this commitment by engaging in accountability at all levels of the organization for complying with environmental, health and safety (EHS) requirements and continuous improvement.

Our manufacturing, as well as research and development facilities, have EHS management systems based on one set of global standards that is applied worldwide. Our EHS Policy 4.0.1 is at the core of these management systems. All of our manufacturing facilities are certified to ISO 14001:2004, and most of our facilities are certified to OHSAS 18001 for health and safety management systems.

We collect EHS performance data from each manufacturing facility and use this information to improve our operational performance. In fact, many of our operating locations have been recognized for their innovation and commitment to continuous improvement with local and/or national Awards.
