Burst-Mode and Page-Mode Interface Flash MemorySpansion® Flash memories with industry-standard burst-mode and page-mode interfaces are designed for high-performance systems in diverse markets such as mobile phones, automotive, telecom, and networking. Burst-mode supports speeds as high as 80 MHz without wait states. Spansion's burst-mode and page-mode product families offer a wide range of densities, with MirrorBit® or floating gate technology. Compatibility with leading chipsets, microcontrollers, and reference designs means that Spansion Flash memory devices can be implemented with little or no glue logic. Featured Spansion Burst-Mode Interface ProductsThe linear burst-mode interface delivers very high-performance sequential read access. These devices are highly configurable, and several multi-chip product (MCP) configurations are available for mobile phones and other wireless applications. Extended temperature and Known Good Die (KGD) options are offered for automotive systems. Featured Spansion Page-Mode Interface ProductsThe linear page-mode interface delivers high-speed random or sequential access within an 8- or 16-byte page. After an initial data access of 50 nanoseconds, data can be read asynchronously from any other location within the page as fast as 20 nanoseconds. Page-mode devices also are available in multi-chip product (MCP) configurations for mobile phones and wireless applications. |
